Meet the Team

Susan Montoya retired from the corporate world in 2021 and became the owner of Autohaus Munich in April 2025, but her connection to the team began several years earlier. In 2022, after opening her home to Ukrainian families displaced by the war, she came to know Grisha and Sasha and quickly recognized the experience, skill, and craftsmanship they brought from the businesses they had operated in Ukraine.

Susan’s background is centered on people, business, and community rather than turning wrenches. She sees that as one of her strengths as an owner. Her role is to bring together exceptional people, give them the resources to do their best work, and make sure every customer who comes through the door is treated with honesty, respect, and personal attention.

Her commitment to the Ukrainian community extends beyond Autohaus Munich. As the founder of Voice4UA, Susan has worked with sponsors, employers, community leaders, and government officials to advocate for Ukrainians rebuilding their lives in the United States.

At Autohaus Munich, Susan is proud to lead a team with a wide range of capabilities, from routine maintenance and advanced diagnostics to major engine work and custom artisan fabrication. For her, owning the shop is ultimately about investing in talented people and creating an exceptional customers experience.

Grisha is a highly skilled automotive technician with exceptional technical ability and a rare depth of mechanical knowledge. He has extensive experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and is known for precision, efficiency, innovative problem solving, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

His technical background is extensive. Grisha holds a master’s degree in Machines and Equipment, a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and an associate degree in Automotive Repair. He is also certified in electric arc and gas welding and holds a Class A driver’s license.

Grisha’s abilities extend well beyond traditional automotive repair. From older vehicles and modern European cars to performance vehicles, heavy equipment, and tractors, there is very little he cannot diagnose, repair, or understand mechanically.

He holds himself and everyone around him to exceptionally high standards, bringing the same level of care and precision to every vehicle that comes into the shop.

Sasha is a man of few words, but his work speaks for itself. His exceptional talent, precision, and attention to detail are evident in everything he does.

Before coming to the United States, Sasha owned his own welding and exhaust business in Ukraine, where he specialized in fabricating custom exhaust systems. His welding is immediately recognizable for its craftsmanship and quality, reflecting years of experience and a genuine pride in doing things right.

Sasha is part of the backbone of Autohaus Munich. He is the person we know we can bring almost any problem to, whether mechanical, technical, or fabrication related, and trust that he will figure out a solution. That resourcefulness, combined with his extraordinary attention to detail, makes him an invaluable part of our team.

That same level of care carries into every aspect of his work at Autohaus Munich, from routine maintenance and repairs to engine swaps, fabrication, and more complex mechanical projects. Sasha approaches every job with patience, skill, and an extraordinary eye for detail.

And his talents do not stop at the shop. Sasha is also an exceptional cook, bringing the same precision and creativity to the kitchen that he brings to his work on cars.

Angel is our ASE Certified Shop Manager and brings more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry. He's a serious car enthusiast and loves everything about cars. Over the course of his career, he has worked in a variety of roles, from technician to shop manager, giving him a strong understanding of both the technical and customer service sides of the business.

At Autohaus Munich, Angel is the connection between our technicians and our customers. He gathers the technical details from the shop, translates them into clear, understandable information, and makes sure each customer knows exactly what their vehicle needs and why. His knowledge, organization, and genuine passion for cars help keep the shop running smoothly and make the customer experience feel seamless from start to finish.

Simply put, Angel is the glue that keeps Autohaus Munich moving.
