OUR STORY

Autohaus Munich has been part of the San Diego automotive community since about 1990. In April 2025, Susan purchased the business and began a new chapter, building on its long history while bringing together the team and vision that define our shop today.

The foundation for that chapter began in 2022, when Susan opened her home to two Ukrainian families who came to San Diego after the war in Ukraine began.

Before Grisha and Sasha spoke much English, their skill, precision, and pride in their work were already clear. Both had owned their own businesses in Ukraine and wanted to continue their careers here in the United States. They brought extensive experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and custom fabrication, along with a passion and commitment to doing exceptional work.

Susan’s expertise is not under the hood. It is in people and in building a business where talented technicians can do their best work. Her focus is making sure our team has the support and resources to deliver exceptional workmanship while every customer is treated with honesty, respect, and personal attention.

An essential part of our team is Angel, our ASE Certified Shop Manager. Angel brings strong automotive knowledge together with the ability to explain repairs clearly and help customers make informed decisions about their vehicles. He oversees the day to day operation of the shop, works closely with our technicians, and helps customers understand what needs attention now, what can wait, and what options are available. He is the connection between the technical work happening in the shop and the level of service we want every customer to experience.

While we service most makes and models, we specialize in European vehicles, including BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, MINI, Porsche, Land Rover, and more. Our capabilities range from routine maintenance and advanced diagnostics to complex repairs, engine replacements, and custom artisan fabrication.
